Join Us This Sunday for Fabulous Family Fun at our Last Outdoor Market of the Season!

Greetings to all! We have become THE neighborhood gathering place on summer Sundays, attracting hundreds of shoppers per week with marvelous vendors, superb live music, weekly chef demonstrations, healthy living features, great artisans, and more! Our last market of the 2018 outdoor season takes place this Sunday from 10 a.m to 1 p.m.

Kamm’s Corners Farmers Market has been selling fruits, vegetables, meats, and cheeses for more than 10 years. We have pretty much left it up to you to figure out what to do with them… until now!

After gathering flavorful recipes from customers, vendors, volunteers, and guest chefs, we have compiled a collection of culinary creations certain to fulfill your foodie fantasies (and test your tolerance for alliterations!). Yes, we have produced our very own cookbook filled with 129 recipes plus many tips and tricks for cooking!

“Good Eating from Fabulous Foodies” is designed to help all of West Park cook seasonal dishes made from nature’s freshest ingredients. It is also a fundraiser for the market itself. The cost is $10 and ALL proceeds go to helping sustain the Kamm’s Corners Farmers Market. This is a limited edition, so when you see it, buy it.

"We were thrilled to once again be voted in as a ‘Best of the West’ Best Farmers Market finalist," said Bill Markowitz, KCFM Market Manager. "We loved meeting our customers and supporters enjoying the festivities at LaCentre on April 12. Many thanks to all who voted for us!”

Fresh made potato salad from Kamm’s Corners restaurant and market Chef Demo participant Hatfield’s Goode Grub was handed out to booth visitors and folks raved about the taste!

We did not win this year, but we put on a good show and will be back next year for another run at the title. Congratulation to this year’s winner, the West Side Market, and to Hatfield’s Goode Grub for winning the Best Hamburger category!

Support the Cleveland Kennel! Bring a Pet Supplies Donation this Sunday!

The Mission of the Friends of the Cleveland Kennel is to provide necessary medical and general care to homeless and abused dogs and cats in need.

The City of Cleveland Kennel is the most overlooked animal facility in the Cleveland area. It is often confused with the Animal Protective League, but is an entirely separate facility. Most of the animals that arrive at the kennel have been abused or neglected. These animals are all very special, but they have not been the given the life that they deserve.

It is the goal of the Friends of the City of Cleveland Kennel to provide them hope for a new beginning.

The USS Challenger, one of our market sponsors, is the Cleveland chapter of The Federation, a non-profit international Star Trek fan organization dedicated to community service. You can drop off donations at the Federation Station Coffee Booth each Sunday through October, or at Style Mutt, Puritas Nursery, and Savor the Moment Coffee Shop. Snowmon’s Kombucha Joins the Market Family of Vendors!

Kombucha is a lightly fermented tea with a reputation for health giving benefits dating back to ancient China! Dave Snowmon began making kombucha at home for his wife and kids and soon discovered that everyone loved it. Quickly becoming passionate about sharing his version of this funky, healthy tea with others, Dave and his wife Sue began making small, handcrafted batches using only glass vessels at their shop in Fairview Park.

Purity and simplicity is paramount in creating their numerous flavors. Reverse osmosis filtered water, fine teas, sugar, fruit, and some spices depending upon the flavor are activated by SCOBY - Symbiotic Culture of Bacteria Yeast - to create their delightfully different range of delectable flavors! Whether by the bottle, a six-pack, or 64 oz. growler, you will love Snowmon’s Kombucha.

Dave & Sue Snowmon

Cleveland singer-songwriter Thor Platter is a loyal purveyor of Americana music for many reasons. “The tradition and history of American music have influenced me my entire life; it encompasses many sounds and styles from many different eras,” he explains. “Above all, it is just good music to your ears.”

Thor’s gentle, affecting vocals – which have earned him numerous comparisons to Willie Nelson – are carried along freely by the accompaniment of Paul Kovac’s rollicking banjo and Mathew Charboneau on upright bass. Fans of the classic ‘70s singer-songwriter genre will delight in Platter’s seamless transitions from toe-tapping jams to sweetly confident ballads. His new album “Take Time” is set for release on October 27.

Platter, who grew up in Buffalo, NY, had a childhood seeped in rich musical influences – from Woodie Guthrie to Bob Dylan to Flatt & Scruggs – but his biggest inspiration to date has been Neil Young. “The way Neil lived his life, the way he recorded, not being that mainstream guy–that was a heavy influence on me,” he explains. “I’ve never wanted to be a pop star.”

Platter approaches songcraft without specific genre boundaries, choosing instead to allow his music to evolve instinctually. He made a fast impact on Cleveland’s music scene upon moving here from Buffalo in 2008, and has been the featured performer at multiple large local music festivals. We are thrilled to welcome Thor to the KCFM family!
